Hello and welcome to ThreeChannels.

Getting Even With Kia

My dear, sweet, loving, encouraging, accepting, authentic, frantic friend Kia at Good Mum has snidely made fun of me for my fake D&G purse that I purchased in an underground China Town “salon” in May while helping my friend who has her own invitation line Prints Charming.

(Check her out!ย  I’ll be giving away some of her invitations and holiday cards in the near future.)

I lovingly counter with these beauties:

I purchased them in 1999 in Soho from the Fortuna Valentino boutique.ย  (Now gone, woefully…)

Kia, here’s another image for your viewing pleasure:

(Note, Kia, they are nothing like Crocs, as you have surmised.)

I have never in my life paid more for a pair of shoes, and I’m not likely to pay such a sum again in this lifetime.

Yet these are the grandest clogs I’ve ever seen in my life and when I wear them I feel FIERCE!

Weep Kia, weep!

You can’t find these anymore!

“You can’t find these anymore!”

Question 1: Why would I want to?
Question 2: Just how big ARE your feet?

๐Ÿ™‚ You know I’m totally kidding, right?
๐Ÿ™‚ You know you’re completely insane, right?

Yep…that’s why we are friends.

And Yep, certifiable.

And pre-pregnancy I wore a size 6 1/2. Now I’m a slim 7 (in shoes, that is…)

Ooooh, those are fancy. I’m mostly a sneaker, flip-flop gal myself, but I have been known to sport a clog as well. Comfy and stylish. I weep for the poor snakes. I’m totally weeping right now and envying your footwear.

Wait until the world knows about these shoes’ grandeur and I auction them off on Ebay for thousands! People will flock!

Those appear to be perfectly cromulent clogs.

Wait… are those Crocs made using Crocs? Oh… wait… maybe that’s snake. That’s better, right?

Who knows at this point which is better? For the record, they are made of python. PETA will have a fit, I’m sure. Give me a break please…it was the 1990s…

Hmmm…on one hand I love them, on the other I’m sure if I had them they’d always stay in the closet. Such is life in my footwear world. I just can’t seem to keep from wearing my trusty comfy shoes.

I have clogs. I have Crocs.

But what I do not have is crazy-lookin’ clogs made of flippin’ PYTHON. Mine are in tasteful neutral colors.

I reserve my craziness for my jackets, thankyouverymuch. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Oh, and my purses. (WHERE exactly did you buy that “D&G” purse?)

All this fashion talk goes way over my head. The only name-brand shoes I own (or have ever owned) are my pairs of Doc Martens, but I never claimed to be fashion conscious. In fact, I am one of those shlumpadinkas Oprah talks about.
